Despite achieving stable sales on Shopify and Amazon US, BetterAlt is set to expand into the content-driven sales market in 2024. While the brand has a strong understanding of Instagram's algorithm, they acknowledge that TikTok poses a unique challenge due to its distinct algorithm. Their main pain points include low video views and engagement, particularly in live streams, a new area they are starting to explore.

Live Account Incubation

Building on BetterAlt’s existing content and brand tone, BrandPal developed a strategic account matrix tailored for livestreaming. This matrix identified and prepared accounts for effective content execution, ensuring alignment with BetterAlt's brand objectives.

Cold Start

In the initial phase, BrandPal conducted rigorous testing and account selection through cold-start approaches and A/B testing. The focus was on identifying high-performing accounts. Once stable accounts were identified, BrandPal amplified ad investments, increased live stream frequency, and extended live stream durations to optimize key metrics. As a result, three accounts were successfully selected and transitioned into daily operations at BrandPal’s China office.

Livestream Ecosystem

As BetterAlt's core team expanded to the U.S., BrandPal relocated its live studios to the Los Angeles office. This phase also saw the introduction of Spanish-language live streams to engage a broader audience. Additionally, a special collaboration between BetterAlt and Stormi resulted in a branded product launch, which led to the creation of a dedicated livestream sub-channel specifically for BetterAlt Beauty.

Since the establishment of the brand's live streaming room, it has driven a 77.37% month-over-month growth in overall GMV, with a total of $23.57 million accumulated over 6 months.


In the second phase of live streaming, sales have steadily increased over 3 months, with the brand's live streaming generating a cumulative GMV of $260,000.


98% of the traffic to the brand's live streaming is organic, with a single session generating a GMV of $40,000.
